SCOTLAND’S only dedicated asthma charity is delighted to welcome on board Paul Gilfeather as its new Head of Communications.
The Asthma and Allergy Foundation appointed Paul as it prepares to move the dial on issues like air pollution, child poverty and increase awareness of asthma as a life threatening and life-limiting health condition.
Chief Executive Martina Chukwuma-Ezike said: “Asthma is one of the biggest public health issues facing Scotland and we intend to impress this into the public conscious as we work with government ministers for bolder clean air targets, better help for asthma suffers living in poverty, and greater education and training for frontline health professionals.
“Paul, with more than 20 years’ experience in political journalism and public relations, will be a superb addition to the team.”
Paul spent 10 years in the Westminster lobby as a political and Whitehall editor, covering stories including the Iraq war, Northern Ireland peace process and conflict in Kosovo. He made the move into public relations when appointed Ogilvy PR’s first head of content in Singapore where his clients included Coca-Cola and Unilever.
