SENIOR MANAGEMENT TEAM STRENGTHENED WITH THE PROMOTION OF VICKI McGRAIN RAE AS HEAD OF SERVICES

The Asthma and Allergy Foundation, Scotland’s only dedicated asthma charity, is delighted to announce the promotion of Vicki McGrain Rae to the position of Head of Services and Health Promotion. In her new role, Vicki will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of Asthma Allergy Foundation services, health promotion and community engagement activities.

Based in the Glasgow office of the charity, Vicki has been the Health Promotion Manager for the past 18 months. She has made significant strides in spearheading asthma awareness campaigns and consistently delivering asthma workshops to adults, children and young people with asthma and their parents and carers in Greater Glasgow and Clyde. In the first quarter of 2023, Vicki delivered 94 asthma management workshops to schools and businesses, reaching 335 adults and 2110 children and young people. Her tireless efforts have played a crucial role in ensuring that people with asthma receive practical support and advice they need to effectively manage their condition.

In her new role, Vicki will be overseeing the delivery of the charity’s services and be responsible for all health promotion managers and community engagement officers. Vicki will also deputise the Chief Executive Officer in her absence. This new responsibility reflects the trust and confidence the organisation places on Vicki’s leadership abilities, as she continues to demonstrate exceptional dedication to the charity’s mission.

Stephen Tetteh Nakote, the Community Engagement Officer of the Asthma and Allergy Foundation, who has worked closely with Vicki, commented, “Having witnessed Vicki’s exceptional work ethic and passion first-hand, I strongly believe that her promotion to Head of Services and Health Promotion is well deserved. This recognition is a testament to her hard work and unwavering dedication to the mission of the organisation. Vicki is an inspiration to all of us, and I couldn’t be prouder of her accomplishments.”
