We offer a wide range of volunteering opportunities and have worked with Job Centre Plus, Skills Development Scotland, University of Aberdeen, RGU, local companies and other young people within the community. So far, we have helped 186 young people gain permanent employment and 7 move into full time study through work experience placement, training, mentoring, CV reviews and mock interviews.
By volunteering you will meet new people, learn new skills, and utilise your current ones and contribute to a great cause and have a positive impact on your local community. The culture of the organisation is suited to open minded individuals who have the potential to help build on the good work of the team. Volunteering might mean you learn greater detail about asthma and allergies, which will certainly be a rewarding experience that will enhance your life skills and help improve the quality of life of others.
For volunteers with asthma, it could mean using their past experiences and turning them into positive ones by helping others through sharing their real-life examples of living with asthma and helping other people learn how to manage their symptoms. It could also mean that through volunteering they will improve their CV, start to feel more work ready and can use their comprehensive training and learning from their role and use this to move into further education.
