We are delighted to issue a heartfelt message of thanks to our funders, sponsors, partners, supporters, trustees, independent clinical advisers, ambassadors, staff and volunteers for their unwavering support over the past year.

Operating from offices in Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh, we deliver a wide range of life-saving services, including asthma workshops, practical advice and support, evidence-based health information, and specialist asthma and allergy training aimed at reducing symptoms, preventing avoidable hospital admissions and deaths, and improving quality of life for people living with asthma and allergies across Scotland.

Between 1 April 2024 and 31 March 2025, the collective commitment of supporters enabled Asthma and Allergy Foundation to achieve significant impact:

  • 23,645 adults, children, young people, families and carers supported
  • 4,186 asthma workshops and training sessions delivered
  • 13,743 advice-line phone calls answered
  • 16,429 support emails and messages responded to
  • Millions reached through national and local media and digital campaigns

The charity’s work is firmly rooted in a Prevention First approach, focused on reducing health inequalities, strengthening primary care, improving self-management, and influencing government policy, recognising that education, training, early intervention and equitable access to support save lives.

Commenting on the year’s achievements, Martina Chukwuma-Ezike, Chief Executive Officer of Asthma and Allergy Foundation, said:

“Behind every statistic is a real person – a child able to attend school with confidence, a parent no longer overwhelmed, an adult breathing easier, and families living without the constant fear of the next asthma attack. None of this would be possible without the generosity, expertise and dedication of our funders, partners, trustees, clinical advisers, ambassadors, staff and volunteers.”

“At a time when communities continue to face the pressures of the cost-of-living crisis and an overstretched health system, your support has ensured that our doors remain open and our services accessible. Together, we are preventing avoidable hospital admissions and deaths, reducing inequalities and improving health outcomes across Scotland.”

Asthma and Allergy Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to working in partnership to ensure that everyone living with asthma and allergies can lead healthy, active and fulfilling lives, and extended its gratitude to all those who continue to stand alongside the charity in delivering this mission.
