As part of its recently launched Ambassador Initiative, the Asthma and Allergy Foundation (AAF), Scotland’s only dedicated asthma charity, is excited to announce the appointment of Katie Butler, a Senior Manager at bp, as its ambassador. This appointment further bolsters the organisation’s ongoing efforts to enhance health outcomes and quality of life for adults and children living with asthma in Scotland.
The organisation, which focuses on the place of patient education in the management of asthma and specialises in providing reliable health information on asthma and practical support to adults and children with asthma, Asthma Training to Businesses and healthcare professionals has had great successes delivering life-saving work across Scotland for over 14 years. These accomplishments have been made possible through the generosity of numerous individuals, sponsorship from businesses, and grants and donations from trusts and foundations.
Katie Butler brings a wealth of experience and a deep personal connection to the cause, being not only an asthma sufferer herself but also a parent of children with asthma. She will join Colin Black, FEI Managing Director of Carjon-NRG Limited/ UK Energy Technology Platform Carjon, and Barry Duncan, Managing Director & Vice President Finance at CNR International, who were recently appointed Ambassadors by the Trustees of the Foundation. Katie’s passion for supporting asthma sufferers, particularly children, shines brightly, making her a great role model for managing asthma and achieving big dreams and would make an excellent Ambassador

As an Ambassador, Katie Butler will play a vital role in championing the life-saving work of the Asthma and Allergy Foundation, which has been providing advice, practical support, and education to over 15,000 adults and children with asthma, as well as their families and caregivers, across Scotland for nearly 15 years. Her appointment underscores the Foundation’s commitment to empowering individuals affected by asthma and driving positive change in the community.
