Asthma and Allergy Foundation is Scotland’s only dedicated asthma and allergy charity and a leading advocate for asthma awareness and prevention. The charity is excited to launch the “Prevention is the Best Treatment” campaign in celebration of Asthma Awareness Month and World Asthma Day on May 7th.
Throughout the month, Asthma and Allergy Foundation will conduct educational workshops, an online awareness campaign, and community events to promote asthma prevention strategies. The campaign aims to raise awareness about asthma triggers, symptoms, and the importance of early intervention.
On May 7th, in honour of World Asthma Day, Asthma and Allergy Foundation will be hosting Health Promotion stands throughout Aberdeen City serving as a platform to share personal experiences and reinforce the message that prevention is the best treatment.
“We are excited to launch the ‘Prevention is the Best Treatment’ campaign to empower individuals and communities in managing asthma. We invite community members, healthcare professionals, and organisations to join us in spreading the message that prevention is key in managing and overcoming asthma,” said Vicki McGrain Rae, Head of Services and Health Promotion at AAF.
